We&#8217;re left with the competitiveness they showed and the motivation to continue fighting for the championship,\u201d<\/strong><\/em><strong>\u00a0says David Sim\u00f3n, Monlau Motul team manager.<\/strong><br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em><strong>\u201cWe are pleased with the overall performance. Our drivers demonstrated their talent and competitiveness, and the technical staff demonstrated their great professionalism. Although we have a lot of work ahead of us, we remain focused on continuing this strong run of results,\u201d<\/strong><\/em><strong>\u00a0said Jaime Serrano, CEO of Monlau Motul.<\/strong><br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Monlau Motul Technical School delivered a strong performance in the second round of the TCR Spain 2025, held at the MotorLand Arag\u00f3n circuit. The Barcelona-based team&#8217;s drivers scored key points at the wheel of their respective CUPRA Le\u00f3n VZ TCRs to remain at the top of both the team and driver standings, led by \u00c8ric Gen\u00e9. Jenson Brickley was the team&#8217;s top finisher, with a second place in the first race of the weekend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Despite being constrained by the Balance of Performance (BoP), the team was able to maximize its performance. Saturday began with free practice, where Jenson Brickley was very competitive and finished second, followed by Gen\u00e9 (third), while \u00c9rik Zabala was seventh. During qualifying, Brickley stood out again, achieving second place with a time of 2:04.902, while Zabala qualified fourth (2:05.445) and Gen\u00e9, who suffered some problems, had to settle for 11th place (2:05.659), forcing him to start from the back in both races on Sunday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sunday&#8217;s session began with the first race, in which Brickley once again shone with a second place and first place among the Junior riders, while Gen\u00e9, despite starting from the back of the grid, made a great comeback and crossed the finish line in fourth place. Zabala suffered a technical problem that forced him to retire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the second race, with a reversed grid based on qualifying times, Gen\u00e9 staged another great comeback, overtaking several rivals to finish, once again, in fourth place, as well as first among the Junior riders. Brickley, meanwhile, finished seventh, while Zabala finished eighth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>David Sim\u00f3n<\/strong>&nbsp;, Monlau Motul team manager, praised the drivers&#8217; performance:&nbsp;<em>\u201cThe weekend was complicated due to the Balance of Performance, which affected us, but the drivers demonstrated a high level. \u00c8ric, after a problem in qualifying, achieved two fourth places. He has improved a lot compared to last year and managed the races very well. Zabala continues to show that he is very fast, but a technical problem in the first race prevented him from reaching his full potential. Brickley is working very well and is increasingly establishing himself in the team. We are delighted with the competitiveness shown and are motivated to continue fighting for the championship.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Jaime Serrano<\/strong>&nbsp;, CEO of Monlau Motul, highlighted the team&#8217;s performance:<em>\u201cWe are pleased with the overall performance.
