Even so, we saw some good comebacks and outstanding driving, with some great overtaking moves on track,\u201d<\/em>\u00a0emphasizes David Sim\u00f3n, Monlau Motul team manager.<\/strong><br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><em>\u201cThe team did an impeccable job. We had four vehicles, which posed an extra challenge for mechanics and engineers, but they overcame it with flying colors,\u201d<\/em>\u00a0says Jaime Serrano, CEO of Monlau Motul.<\/strong><br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Spanish F4 traveled this weekend to the Algarve International Autodrome in Portim\u00e3o for the third round of its 2025 season. Monlau Motul fielded four cars for the first time. Joining the usual entrants Francisco Monarca, Alexander Jacoby, and Lorenzo Campos were American Andre Rodriguez, who made his single-seater debut.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With 33 Tatuus F4 T-421s on track and very high temperatures that complicated grip on the Portuguese asphalt, the race was extremely close throughout the weekend. Qualifying sessions once again proved the team&#8217;s biggest challenge, with extremely close times leaving all four drivers close to the top 20 in both sessions. Even so, all put in strong performances during the three races.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Both free practice sessions took place on Friday. On Saturday, Q1 took place, where Lorenzo Campos achieved the 19th best time (1:46.088), closely followed by Jacoby (21st), Monarca (22nd), and Rodriguez (32nd). In the first race, comebacks were the protagonists: Campos crossed the finish line in 13th position, Monarca was 15th, and Jacoby, 17th. Rodriguez, meanwhile, had to retire after going off track.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sunday started with Q2, which sorted the grid for the third race. Monarca was the team&#8217;s highest-place finisher, with a 20th place (1:45.757), followed by Jacoby (21st), Campos (25th), and Rodriguez (32nd). In the second race, held shortly after, Monarca made a comeback to 14th position, just ahead of Campos (15th). Jacoby finished 25th, and Rodriguez, still in the midst of learning, finished 26th.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The third race once again demonstrated the fighting spirit of the Monlau Motul drivers. Monarca took the checkered flag in 13th place, his best result of the weekend. Campos finished 14th, Rodriguez 29th, and Jacoby 31st.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>David Sim\u00f3n<\/strong>&nbsp;, team manager of the Monlau Motul Technical School, praised the team&#8217;s performance:&nbsp;<em>&#8220;The level of the championship is very high, and starting from the back is a real pain. Even so, we saw some good comebacks and outstanding driving, with some great overtaking moves on track. The high temperatures also complicated tire management and pace, but everyone knew how to adapt and demonstrate their growth and maturity. We have to try to scratch out a few tenths to place ourselves in the top 10.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Jaime Serrano<\/strong>&nbsp;, CEO of Monlau Motul, highlighted the added challenge of having an additional car:&nbsp;<em>\u201cThe team did an impeccable job. We had four cars, which posed an extra challenge for the mechanics and engineers, but they overcame it with flying colors.
