It&#8217;s a school project that faithfully reproduces the dynamics of a real racing team. Each student has a defined role, works under pressure, and makes strategic decisions,&#8221;<\/strong><\/em><strong>\u00a0says Jaime Serrano, CEO of Monla 1 and Motul.<\/strong><br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>After an intense period of preparation, the seventh edition of the Monlau Motul Endurance Race is here, taking place on June 11 and 12 at the Circuit de Calafat (Tarragona). This race represents the final project of studies for second-year Motorcycle Racing Mechanics students. A unique event in the Monlau Motul Technical School academic calendar, it combines teamwork, strategy, and competition in a real-life environment.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this edition, 37 students will be divided into seven teams\u2014five of them composed of five members and two of six\u2014that will be responsible for managing all the technical and sporting aspects of the event. Each team will have a Team Manager and a pair of riders, for a total of 14 participants on the track.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, first-year students will also participate as technical inspectors in the&nbsp;<em>pit lane<\/em>&nbsp;and marshals at safety stations, while students from the Master&#8217;s in Motorsport Engineering will collaborate with the teams on data analysis and strategy development, with the aim of faithfully replicating the environment and operation of an official motorcycle race. In total, Monlau Motul will mobilize around 150 people during the event, including students from different courses, teachers, and technical staff.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The competition will feature seven Honda CBR600RR F25s, prepared entirely by the students themselves in the center&#8217;s workshops and classrooms. The race maintains the endurance format, with six mandatory&nbsp;<em>pit stops<\/em>&nbsp;and a 4-liter fuel limit at each stop, making strategy a key element and bringing the action to the&nbsp;<em>pit lane<\/em>&nbsp;, where the precision and coordination of the future professionals will be put to the test.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Two intense days on a demanding track.<\/strong><br>As in previous editions, the Circuit de Calafat will be the venue for this event. Track activity will begin on Wednesday, June 11, with two free practice sessions scheduled for 11:30 a.m. That same day, at 2:00 p.m., the qualifying session will take place, which will determine the starting order. On Thursday, June 12, the teams will face a morning warm-up before taking on the big challenge: the four-hour endurance race, which will start at 11:00 a.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cThis event is much more than a race. It&#8217;s a school project that faithfully reproduces the dynamics of a real racing team. Each student has a defined role, works under pressure, and makes strategic decisions. This experience prepares them for the leap into the professional world with a solid foundation.
