We&#8217;re leading the team standings with just one round left, and we still have a chance in the drivers&#8217; standings,&#8221;\u00a0<\/em>\u00a0said Jaime Serrano, CEO of Monlau Motul.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Monlau Motul Technical School completed a solid weekend in the fourth and penultimate round of the TCR Spain 2025, held at the Circuito de Jerez-\u00c1ngel Nieto. This time, the team fielded three CUPRA Le\u00f3n VZ TCR units, with the addition of Brazilian Raphael Reis, a regular TCR South America driver and runner-up at the 2024 FIA Motorsport Games with the Barcelona-based team. Regulars \u00c8ric Gen\u00e9 and Jenson Brickley achieved second and third places, respectively, in the opening round, while Reis, making his debut in the Spanish series, added two fourth places.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The action began on Friday with the first free practice session, and the second session and qualifying took place on Saturday. Qualifying reflected the closeness of the championship; Brickley took second with a time of 1:52.108, just 0.46 seconds off pole, and Gen\u00e9 third, 0.88 seconds off the lead. Reis also showed great competitiveness, clocking a time of 1:52.510, giving him the sixth-fastest time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On Sunday, it was time for two races. In the first, held in the morning, Gen\u00e9 overtook Brickley early on, and both settled into podium positions. Behind him, Reis climbed to fourth place and stayed very close to his two teammates, allowing Monlau Motul to place all three cars among the top four in the race. Gen\u00e9 crossed the finish line in second place and was also the Junior winner, followed by Brickley in third (second Junior) and Reis in fourth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the afternoon, the second race took place, with a reversed grid compared to the qualifying results, with Reis starting fifth, Gen\u00e9 eighth, and Brickley ninth. A poor start by the&nbsp;&nbsp;<em>polesitter<\/em>&nbsp;&nbsp;left the three Monlau Motul drivers trailing the field, with no chance of fighting for the podium. Nevertheless, they were able to make progress. Reis again finished fourth, Brickley fifth, and Gen\u00e9 seventh. In the Junior category, the Briton took the victory and the Spaniard second.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With these results, Gen\u00e9 remains second in the overall standings, albeit with a 41-point gap to the leader, and remains at the top of the Junior standings. Brickley moves up to third overall (second Junior). Monlau Motul, meanwhile, continues to lead the team standings thanks to the collaborative work of its drivers, engineers, and mechanics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>David Sim\u00f3n<\/strong>&nbsp;, Monlau Motul team manager, praised the drivers&#8217; performance in Andalusia: \u201c&nbsp;<em>We are very satisfied with the performance in Jerez. We have a third CUPRA unit thanks to the addition of Raphael Reis, who adapted excellently and was very competitive. \u00c8ric and Jenson, meanwhile, maintained a high level and we achieved a double podium in the first race. In the second, a complicated start left us with no chance of fighting for the podium, but we still managed to maintain a leading position. The balance is very positive; this test has served as a good preparation for the drivers, mechanics, engineers, and vehicle for next weekend, when we will compete in the final round of the TCR Europe championship in Barcelona, \u200b\u200bwhere we will be playing for the drivers&#8217; and teams&#8217; titles.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Jaime Serrano<\/strong>&nbsp;, CEO of Monlau Motul, highlighted the team&#8217;s position in the championship:&nbsp;&nbsp;<em>\u201cThe work of the entire technical staff and drivers was impeccable. Now we face the final round in Barcelona with maximum motivation and the goal of fighting for all the titles at home.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The final round of the 2025 TCR Spain series will take place from November 14-16 at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, where Monlau Motul will fight for the championships on home soil.
