Plus, this year we\u2019ve expanded our team of mechanics and engineers,\u201d<\/em>\u00a0\u00a0says David Sim\u00f3n, team manager of Monlau Motul.<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><em>\u201cThis championship allows us to continue growing as a team and strengthen our sports and training project,\u201d\u00a0<\/em>\u00a0says Jaime Serrano, CEO of Monlau Motul.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The wait is over. After several months without competition, but with intense preparation, Monlau Motul Technical School officially kicks off its 2026 season with the second edition of the Spanish Winter Championship. The competition, promoted by the Royal Spanish Automobile Federation (RFEDA), was created to provide winter mileage for teams competing in the Spanish F4 Championship and has established itself as an ideal platform for fine-tuning their performance for the regular season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The championship will begin from February 20-22 at the Aut\u00f3dromo Internacional do Algarve in Portim\u00e3o, and will continue at the Circuito de Madrid Jarama-RACE (February 27-March 1) and MotorLand Arag\u00f3n (March 13-15). Each event will feature a full program including an official test, two free practice sessions, two qualifying sessions, and three races, guaranteeing valuable mileage before the start of the Spanish F4 Championship, scheduled for the second weekend of April at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Monlau Motul faces this new year with the goal of continuing to grow and taking a step forward in terms of performance. For this second edition of the winter championship, the team will field three drivers who will also compete in the full Spanish F4 season: Miki Blascos, Rahim Alibhai, and Fausto Arnaudo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Blascos, a 16-year-old from Mallorca, already made his debut in the category in 2025 with the Barcelona-based team; he participated in the last three races of the championship and achieved a fifth-place finish among the&nbsp;&nbsp;<em>rookies<\/em>&nbsp;&nbsp;as his best result. Alibhai, from Miami and also 16 years old, is facing his first season in F4 after his time in karting. Meanwhile, 15-year-old Argentinian Fausto Arnaudo will make the leap from karts to formula cars in 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>David Sim\u00f3n<\/strong>&nbsp;, team manager of Monlau Motul Technical School, analyzes the lineup and the work done before the start of the winter championship:&nbsp;&nbsp;<em>\u201cMiki has completed a very solid preseason. He has the talent and the necessary mileage to be consistently in the points. Rahim has clearly improved throughout the tests and has worked hard in his preparation to adapt to the demands of the category. For his part, Fausto has demonstrated a quick adaptation to the car and a great capacity for learning. We have accumulated a lot of experience, and this championship will be an important benchmark before the start of the Spanish F4 season.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to the work on the track, the team has strengthened its structure for 2026. The team will have four Tatuus F4 T-421s during the Spanish F4 regular season and will also increase the number of engineers and mechanics.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cThis year we have definitively consolidated our own driver training and testing platform. We are working on two- and three-year projects to lay the foundations for our future F4 drivers. This has forced us to grow as a structure, incorporating more engineers and mechanics, while maintaining the key personnel from previous seasons,\u201d<\/em>&nbsp;&nbsp;Sim\u00f3n adds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Jaime Serrano<\/strong>&nbsp;, CEO of Monlau Motul, emphasizes the global dimension of the project:&nbsp;&nbsp;<em>\u201cThe Spanish Winter Championship is the best starting point for our season. It allows us to prepare the car, the drivers, and the entire team in a real competitive environment before the Spanish F4 season begins. We have continued to strengthen our structure and invest in young talent, and these types of championships perfectly align with our philosophy of combining training and competition. We are approaching 2026 with ambition and the conviction that the work done this winter will help us take a step forward.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Monlau Motul thus begins a new season with its sights set on continuing to progress within the Spanish F4 Championship.
