We have complete confidence in the team&#8217;s work to be competitive,\u201d<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0says Jaime Serrano, CEO of Monlau Motul.<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Monlau Motul Technical School faces a new international challenge this weekend with its participation in the first round of the 2026 FIA TCR World Tour, which will take place at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli in Italy. The Barcelona-based team will be represented by Viktor Andersson, who will be behind the wheel of the CUPRA Le\u00f3n VZ TCR to compete in a championship characterized by extreme mechanical and sporting parity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Monlau Motul&#8217;s participation in this event is part of its sporting and training program, with the aim of continuing to develop both its drivers and its technical structure in highly demanding environments. The team will bring to Misano the same core group of mechanics and engineers that regularly competes in TCR Europe and TCR Spain, allowing it to maintain its working philosophy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Viktor Andersson arrives at the Italian round in excellent form. At just 22 years old, the driver from Link\u00f6ping, Sweden, has already demonstrated impressive performance at the start of this season, with notable results such as a victory, two&nbsp;<em>pole positions<\/em>&nbsp;, and three podium finishes in TCR Spain, a championship he currently leads. This participation in the TCR World Tour is part of his rigorous preparation for TCR Europe, his main objective for the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>David Sim\u00f3n<\/strong>&nbsp;, team manager of Monlau Motul, emphasizes the driver&#8217;s development:&nbsp;<em>\u201cThe goal is to continue helping Viktor Andersson grow as a driver. Participating in the TCR World Tour, as we did in 2025, is an opportunity to continue our training program for both mechanics and engineers, as well as drivers. We want to keep learning from the best, and this championship is a fantastic platform to do so and showcase our work. The only difference compared to the other series we compete in is that here the rivals are fully professional teams and drivers dedicated to TCR, and this raises the bar.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For his part,&nbsp;<strong>Jaime Serrano<\/strong>&nbsp;, CEO of Monlau Motul, values \u200b\u200bthe importance of this type of participation within the team&#8217;s project:&nbsp;<em>\u201cRacing at Misano with Viktor and the CUPRA Le\u00f3n VZ TCR allows us to showcase our technical structure on the international stage of touring cars. We have complete confidence in the team&#8217;s work to be competitive in a weekend that will undoubtedly be a great learning and growth experience for everyone.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The weekend format at the Italian circuit will consist of free practice on Friday, qualifying and the first race on Saturday, and the second race on Sunday, with a reverse grid compared to the qualifying results.
