The entire technical staff performed at a high level,\u201d<\/em>\u00a0\u00a0highlights David Sim\u00f3n, team manager of Monlau Motul Technical School.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><em>\u201cThe competition is incredibly close, and every detail makes a difference. This result confirms that we have a team capable of competing with the best,\u201d<\/em>\u00a0\u00a0says Jaime Serrano, CEO of Monlau Motul.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Monlau Motul Technical School completed a weekend of clear progress at the second round of the Spanish F4 Championship, held at the Aut\u00f3dromo Internacional do Algarve (Portugal). The Barcelona-based team achieved its best-ever result in the championship thanks to Miki Blascos&#8217; brilliant second-place finish in the third and final race of the weekend. The Mallorcan driver staged a spectacular comeback from 19th on the grid in a competition marked, once again, by the enormous parity among the 36 participating drivers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After scoring their first points of the season in Valencia, the team once again demonstrated that they have the pace to fight for much higher positions than those reflected in qualifying. However, very tight qualifying sessions, hampered by several interruptions, once again forced the Monlau Motul riders to start the races from the back of the grid. Even so, Blascos, Rahim Alibhai, Fausto Arnaudo, and rookie Yuzuki Sato staged numerous comebacks and displayed solid race pace throughout the weekend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Following Friday&#8217;s free practice sessions, Saturday saw an extremely close first qualifying session. Blascos finished 18th with a time of 1:45.740, just 0.667 seconds off&nbsp;&nbsp;<em>pole position<\/em>&nbsp;. Sato was 23rd in his first single-seater qualifying session, while Alibhai and Arnaudo finished 25th and 27th, respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The first race was marked by incidents and cautions, with three&nbsp;&nbsp;<em>safety car<\/em>&nbsp;interventions &nbsp;and a red flag. Before the first interruption, Blascos was running 16th, while Arnaudo was 20th, Sato 24th, and Alibhai 25th. After the restart, the Mallorcan driver moved up to 12th place, but while fighting for a top-10 finish, he was hit by a rival and forced to retire. Behind him, Arnaudo, Alibhai, and Sato completed a very consistent race, allowing them to continue gaining positions. After several penalties were given to other competitors, the Argentinian finished 12th overall and sixth among&nbsp;&nbsp;<em>rookies<\/em>&nbsp;, while the Miami driver finished 17th and the Japanese driver 18th.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hours later, the second race of the weekend took place. Blascos started 16th, Alibhai 20th, Sato 23rd, and Arnaudo 30th. The Mallorcan driver once again showed a very competitive pace and even managed to get within striking distance of the points after several comebacks and restarts following the&nbsp;&nbsp;<em>safety car<\/em>&nbsp;periods . He ultimately crossed the finish line in 13th position (eighth&nbsp;&nbsp;<em>rookie<\/em>&nbsp;). Alibhai again delivered a solid performance to finish 17th, while Arnaudo finished 22nd. Sato, meanwhile, was forced to retire after contact with another competitor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sunday began with a second qualifying session as close as the first. Blascos set the 19th fastest time, just 0.728 seconds off&nbsp;&nbsp;<em>pole position<\/em>&nbsp;. Arnaudo was 21st, Sato 25th, and Alibhai 29th.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The third race showcased the team&#8217;s best performance. Blascos started from 19th position, but on the first lap climbed to 11th. After a red flag and the subsequent restart, he continued to gain ground, moving up to eighth. Later, another safety car intervention brought the field back together, allowing the Mallorcan driver to gain several places in the closing laps to finish fourth. Finally, penalties given to two rivals awarded him second place, the best result achieved by Monlau Motul since joining the Spanish F4 Championship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The final race also saw outstanding performances from the other drivers. Arnaudo staged a remarkable comeback after dropping to 30th in the early stages, crossing the finish line in 13th place. This result was later improved to 12th after a penalty was given to another competitor. Sato, forced to start from&nbsp;&nbsp;<em>pit lane<\/em>&nbsp;, completed another brilliant recovery to finish 14th. Alibhai, meanwhile, climbed several positions to finish 17th.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thanks to his podium finish in Portim\u00e3o, Blascos earned 18 points, moving him up to 11th place in the overall standings. This result provides a significant morale boost for the entire team in a category where the margins are razor-thin and every detail is crucial.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>David Sim\u00f3n<\/strong>&nbsp;, team manager of Monlau Motul Technical School, gave a positive assessment of the weekend&#8217;s performance:&nbsp;&nbsp;<em>\u201cThe competition was incredibly close once again, and qualifying was heavily affected by interruptions, which hurt us because our race pace was clearly better. Miki staged a spectacular comeback to secure second place, Monlau&#8217;s best result ever in Spanish F4. Rahim continues to improve and is showing great promise in races, Fausto is working very hard and has enormous potential, and Yuzuki gave us an excellent impression in her Spanish F4 debut.
