We maintain title chances in four of the six categories in which we participate, but we are competitive in all of them,\u201d<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0says Jaime Serrano, CEO of Monlau Motul Technical School.<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The Monlau Motul Karting Team passed the halfway point of the Spanish Karting Championship at the Lucas Guerrero International Karting Circuit in Chiva, Valencia, with an impressive haul of 5 victories and 7 other podium finishes. The team&#8217;s performance in the Junior division was particularly noteworthy, where they achieved a resounding 1-2-3 finish in the grand final, and in the Rookie division, where&nbsp;<strong>Sergio Barreda<\/strong>&nbsp;dominated every session of the weekend. With only one points-scoring event remaining, Monlau Motul leads the Junior, Mini, and Mini Rookie divisions and remains in contention for a final KZ podium finish. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The heat was the main protagonist of the first Valencian round of the championship. With temperatures steadily rising from Friday onwards, fine-tuning the karts and finding grip in every session became a constant challenge for the technical staff and the 20 drivers competing in the Monlau Motul Karting Team colors.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Junior category was where the Monlau Motul liveried karts truly shone.&nbsp;<strong>Iv\u00e1n Gonz\u00e1lez<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>Nuvola Morales<\/strong>&nbsp;traded the lead from practice onwards. Morales was fastest in qualifying and also topped the combined standings across heats and super heats \u2013 equivalent to Race 1 in the new CEK format \u2013 followed by Iv\u00e1n Gonz\u00e1lez (2nd),&nbsp;<strong>Nilas Malik<\/strong>&nbsp;(3rd), and&nbsp;<strong>Juan Alameda<\/strong>&nbsp;(4th). The final then confirmed the team&#8217;s dominance, securing another podium finish led by Iv\u00e1n Gonz\u00e1lez, followed by Morales and Alameda. Malik had less luck, dropping to 20th place after a somewhat chaotic race.&nbsp;<strong>Massimiliano Filonzi completed the team&#8217;s results, finishing 24th in the final, while&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>Pablo Reche<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>Jordi Yaskov<\/strong>&nbsp;narrowly missed out on qualifying&nbsp;. The overall points tally keeps Iv\u00e1n Gonz\u00e1lez at the top of the Junior standings with 178 points, 32 more than Nuvola Morales in second place. Nilas Malik is in 6th place with 120, and Juan Alameda is 11th with 100.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the Mini Rookie category, Monlau Motul Karting Team continued their dominance. Sergio Barreda was a constant presence in the debutant division. The driver from Castell\u00f3n dominated qualifying, the combined standings after heats and the super heat, and the final, maintaining his solid first place in the standings with 190 points, 24 more than his closest rival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Mini division also concluded with great satisfaction for Monlau Motul Karting Team.&nbsp;<strong>Marc Cruz<\/strong>&nbsp;topped the timesheets in practice, while his teammate and rival,&nbsp;<strong>Thiago Huertas&#8230;<\/strong>He achieved the best result among the team members in the heats, finishing 2nd. On Sunday, Cruz won the super heat, which propelled him to the lead in the intermediate classification, equivalent to the first final, followed by Huertas. Then, in the final race, Marc dropped to 10th place, ahead of Huertas (11th).&nbsp;<strong>Guillem Coll<\/strong>&nbsp;was the strongest Monlau Motul representative in this race, finishing 6th.&nbsp;<strong>Edoardo Alessandro<\/strong>&nbsp;(18th) and&nbsp;<strong>Iver Engelstadt<\/strong>&nbsp;(22nd) completed the results list. In the championship standings, Marc Cruz and Thiago Huertas are tied for first place with 179 points, while Guillem Coll climbs to fifth place with 113. The KZ division once again witnessed an intense battle from Friday onwards, in which&nbsp;<strong>Asier Garc\u00eda<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>Hugo Mart\u00ed<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>also played a prominent role&nbsp;. Garc\u00eda was the fastest in qualifying, subsequently finishing the heats in 3rd place. On Sunday, the Avil\u00e9s native secured 5th place in the super heat, which propelled him to third in the intermediate standings, and he also reached the podium in the grand final, this time taking second place. Mart\u00ed finished close behind, 4th in the final after finishing 6th in qualifying. With the points tallied in the overall standings, both drivers still have a mathematical chance of battling for a top-three finish: Asier is 4th with 135 points, closely followed by Mart\u00ed in 5th with 131.&nbsp;In the Senior category,&nbsp;<strong>Cristian Fuente<\/strong>&nbsp;remained in contention with the leaders throughout. The driver achieved an 8th place finish in both qualifying and the super heat, and crossed the finish line in 16th place in the final.&nbsp;<strong>Carson Vidano<\/strong>&nbsp;also competed for Monlau Motul&nbsp;, although his 42nd position in qualifying prevented him from taking part in the final.&nbsp;&nbsp;Completing the Monlau Motul Karting Team&#8217;s participation were the two Academy drivers,&nbsp;<strong>Lorenzo Pastoressa<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>Mathias Hvaal<\/strong>&nbsp;. Their fortunes were mixed throughout the weekend. While the Andalusian driver finished Saturday strong (3rd in qualifying and 4th overall), he ended up finishing 22nd and 19th in the two finals on Sunday. Hvaal, for his part, secured 19th place overall and 18th in the finals.&nbsp;<strong>Rub\u00e9n Sim\u00f3n<\/strong>&nbsp;, Team Manager of Monlau Motul Karting Team, was satisfied with the overall result.<strong><\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><\/strong><em>\u201cWe are quite pleased and have a positive overall assessment of the Chiva event. Twelve podium finishes and good overall standings in the Mini, Rookie, Junior, and KZ categories make us optimistic for the final race of the season, which will require thorough preparation to achieve our objectives. We have a long summer ahead of us to do so.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Monlau Motul CEO&nbsp;<strong>Jaime Serrano<\/strong>&nbsp;added:&nbsp;<em>\u201cChiva confirms, once again, our correct approach to competitiveness within our team. We maintain realistic chances of winning the title or a podium finish in four of the six categories in which we participate, and we remain competitive in all of them.
