The riders and teams for this year’s sporting project by Estrella Galicia 0,0, Monlau Repsol Technical School and Marc VDS Racing -collaborators since 2015- gathered at the Circuito del Jarama in Madrid on Monday for the official presentation of the 2018 lineups. The project will feature six teams in various classes and 14 riders.
\nThe legendary track was one of the pioneering circuits in the Spanish motorcycle racing boom, and continues to host events some four decades on from its inauguration. It last held a World Championship round 20 years ago, and provided a perfect location for the unveiling of the Estrella Galicia 0,0 2018 project.
\nThe Galician brewery will once again support riders in all three World Championship classes, as well as in the World Junior Moto3 series, European Talent Cup and RFME Spanish Championship.
\nThe Team Estrella Galicia 0,0 Moto3 outfit completes the triple-pronged offensive in the World Championship, and consists of two promising riders. Last season’s third placed finisher in the series, and a winner of three Grands Prix, Ar\u00f3n Canet will participate in his third full season in Moto3 with his sights set on the title. He will be joined by fellow Spaniard Alonso L\u00f3pez, who has progressed up the Estrella Galicia 0,0 career pyramid to earn a spot in the World Championship.
\nThe Estrella Galicia 0,0 presence in the FIM CEV Repsol series consists of two teams in two different classes. Junior Team Estrella Galicia 0,0 will run three riders in World Junior Moto3: Jeremy Alcoba and Sergio Garc\u00eda remain part of the project after their promising results last year. British rider Charlie Nesbitt joins as part of his training and education.
\nThe European Talent Cup promotional series will have three riders in Talent Team Estrella Galicia 0,0. Juli\u00e1n Giral, Daniel Holgado and Jose Antonio Rueda are the representatives in stage two of the plan to build to a future in motorcycle racing.
\nIn the initial phase of the Monlau Repsol Technical School project, the School Team Monlau Repsol will run Diogo Moreira and Adri\u00e1n Cruces as their Moto4 riders in the RFME Spanish Championship.

Every passing year is a reaffirmation of the potential that this project has; a project with which we have always aimed to enhance talent. This year young riders are coming in and we will contribute our resources so that they continue to progress, as is the case with Alonso L\u00f3pez, who after competing in the Spanish Championship and the FIM CEV Repsol in our teams has this year moved up to the World Championship. \n“My main objective for this season will be to learn. It is very exciting to have the opportunity to make the leap up to the World Championship after having competed with Junior Team Estrella Galicia 0,0 in the FIM CEV Repsol last season, where I finished third in the Junior World Moto3 class. This year we have already had several tests and the feeling with my new crew is very good. The way of working in the World Championship follows the method of the Monlau Repsol Technical School, which I already have instilled from the year that we won the PreMoto3 championship of what was then the Copa de Espa\u00f1a (2015), and that makes the understanding even better. I hope we can have a great season together.”

\n“This will be my third year and we are motivated to have the chance to fight for the championship in the Junior World Moto3 category. Last year we got on the podium four times and this season we will work to be there again and try to win as many races as possible. I would like to participate as a wildcard in all the Grands Prix that take place in Spain, and this would be great for accumulating experience for the day I eventually move up. We’ll work to be up at the front so that all this is possible.”

Being able to talk to the World Championship riders and get their advice is a privilege.”
