The Moto3 World Championship moves on to France this weekend, and is joined by the Moto3 Junior World Championship and FIM CEV Repsol at the legendary Le Mans circuit.

\nThe Estrella Galicia 0,0 riders will be back on track, and for Aron Canet the French GP will be a chance to put the result of the Spanish round a fortnight ago behind him. He crashed late on at Jerez when part of the group fighting for victory, but had been performing well during the race. In a carry-over from that Grand Prix, a penalty handed to him means that he will start from last on the grid. Le Mans is a circuit that suits Canet’s style, and last year he finished second after prevailing in a group of four riders. The Spaniard is currently third in the World Championship with 48 points, 15 behind current leader Marco Bezzecchi.
\nAlonso Lopez also experienced a rollercoaster race at Jerez. He started from sixth on the grid and an incident in the leading group forced him to have to fight back more than fifteen positions, crossing the line in a place that would have given him his first Grand Prix podium. However, the rookie was relegated to fourth for a penalty for exceeding the track limit. Le Mans is another of the few circuits that the rookie already knows from the FIM CEV Repsol, as he took victory by just one thousandth of a second ahead of Dennis Foggia, Jeremy Alcoba and Sergio Garcia last season. Lopez is twelfth in the overall standings with 23 points.
\nThe Estrella Galicia 0,0 Moto3 riders will be out on track at Le Mans from Friday at 9am local time, for the first Free Practice session. The race is scheduled for Sunday at 11am.

\n“We are coming to one of my favourite circuits, where I have always had a very good feeling, although we are well aware that the weather will play an important role. At Le Mans you never have the certainty of whether it will rain or not, although the positive thing is that it is a circuit that I like and where last year we had a great race. This year, despite the penalty we’ve been given, we will fight to be at the front again. We drew some very interesting conclusions from the test we carried out at MotorLand and I think we are even more prepared for this race.”
