Several months after the 2020 season was interrupted due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Sergio Garcia Dols, Ryusei Yamanaka and the rest of the members of Estrella Galicia 0,0 Moto3 will return to action next month, it was confirmed with the announcement of a revised calendar this Thursday.
\nOnly the Qatar Grand Prix, held on March 8th, has taken place thus far. A further 13 events will run at eight circuits, starting with the Spanish Grand Prix on July 19th at the Circuito de Jerez – Angel Nieto.
\nA second visit to the same track is scheduled for July 26th, dubbed the Andalusian Grand Prix. The new calendar includes five more Grands Prix on Spanish soil, divided between the Circuit de Barcelona – Catalunya, MotorLand Aragon and the Circuit de la Comunitat Valenciana – Ricardo Tormo.
\nBefore July 31st, the possible celebration of the Grand Prix of the Americas, Argentinian GP, Thai GP and Malaysian GP should be confirmed. These would be added to the new-look calendar. The 2020 season will have a maximum of 17 rounds and will conclude no later than December 13.
\nGarcia Dols is eagerly awaiting the resumption of the season, since at the inaugural race in Qatar he spent much of the weekend matching the pace of the fastest riders in Moto3.
\nJapanese rookie Yamanaka was also forced into lockdown right after his first race as a full time World Championship rider concluded. He has been in Japan with his family, and has the utmost enthusiasm to get back to competing.
