The Estrella Galicia 0,0 Moto3 riders contested the Qatar Grand Prix at the Losail International Circuit on Sunday. The 5pm start time meant that the race was held in daylight.
Both Alonso López and Ryusei Yamanaka -standing in for full-time rider Sergio Garcia Dols- made remarkable progress, starting the race from far down the grid but gaining ground from the start.
Lopez crossed the line in twelfth position, in a race won by Kaito Toba. Estrella Galicia 0,0 substitute rider Yamanaka would take twentieth. The next round of the Moto3 World Championship will be the Argentinian Grand Prix, which takes place at Termas de Río Hondo on March 31st.
