Estrella Galicia 0,0 are pleased to announce a two-rider lineup in the Moto3 World Championship for next season, consisting of Sergio Garcia Dols and Ryusei Yamanaka.
Both riders are part of the Estrella Galicia 0,0 sports project, having competed with the Estrella Galicia 0,0 Junior Team in the FIM CEV Repsol.
Sergio Garcia Dols Burriana (Spain) March 22nd, 2003
After finishing runner-up in the Moto3 Junior World Championship in 2018, winning more races than any other rider along the way, Sergio Garcia Dols is currently participating in his rookie season in Grand Prix racing in 2019.
The 2020 season will be his sophomore year in the World Championship, and he will have the benefit of familiarity with the circuits on the calendar -freeing him up to concentrate exclusively on optimising his performance in search of good results.
“In 2020 we will take several steps forward”
“I’m very happy to find out that I am going to ride a second season in the World Championship with Team Estrella Galicia 0,0, and also very grateful for the trust they have placed in me. This has been my first year in the World Championship and I’ve had the typical rookie difficulties, but I’m sure that we will take several steps forward in 2020 now that I know the circuits and have the experience of this season.”
Ryusei Yamanaka Chiba (Japan), November 6th, 2001
The Japanese rider joins Team Estrella Galicia 0.0 Moto3 this season after having previously competed in the Asia Talent Cup, the MotoGP Rookies Cup and last year in the last three races of the Moto3 Junior World Championship at the FIM CEV Repsol with the Team 3570 MT.
Riding for the Junior Team Estrella Galicia 0,0, Yamanaka achieved his first victory in the FIM CEV Repsol this season, in addition to enjoying brilliant performances as a wildcard in the World Championship -Italian GP and Catalan GP-.
“I hope to make good progress in my first year”
“It’s a great honour for me to be making my debut as a permanent rider in the World Championship with Team Estrella Galicia 0,0 Moto3. I have already raced in the FIM CEV Repsol with the Junior Team this year, and ridden Grands Prix as a wildcard, so I hope that the experience I have allows me to make good progress in my first year competing against the best in the world.”
Jordi Arquer, Team Manager
“Both García Dols and Yamanaka are riders with great potential”
“We will once again run Sergio García Dols in the Estrella Galicia 0,0 Moto3 team next season, to continue supporting him in his growth as a professional rider. He is a very fast rider who has encountered difficulties this season, but we are sure that, with a year’s worth of experience, he will achieve the results of which he is capable.
As for Ryusei Yamanaka, his progress in the FIM CEV Repsol has been very good this year with the Junior Team Estrella Galicia 0,0. He is a very honest and disciplined rider, with whom it is very easy and productive to work. We are sure that he will be able to make the most of this great opportunity to become a World Championship rider. Both García Dols and Yamanaka are riders with great potential.”
