  • Mateo Marulanda aims to maintain his progress in the European Talent Cup, while Facundo Llambías wants to rediscover his good form in Moto2™.
  • “We’re approaching the final stretch of the championship with great enthusiasm and excitement. The team’s five riders have worked very hard this summer to arrive in the best possible shape, and we’re sure they’ll bring us a lot of joy,” explains Jaime Serrano, team CEO.

Team Estrella Galicia 0,0 faces a new FIM JuniorGP™ event next weekend, once the summer break is over. The Emilia-Romagna circuit (Italy) will host the fifth round of the calendar, a venue where the team aims to take the lead in the JuniorGP™ category.

With podium finishes in five of the six races contested, Rico Salmela sits in second place in the overall standings with 97 points, 17 behind the leader. Just behind the Finn is Casey O’Gorman, third with 80 points, who has scored three consecutive second places between Magny-Cours and Aragón.

Both riders will be fighting for victory in the two races scheduled for Sunday, where their teammate, Dodo Boggio, who finished 11th in Aragón, is also aiming to be at the front of the field. The Italian currently sits 19th overall with 9 points.

There will also be two rounds in the European Talent Cup, where Team Estrella Galicia 0,0 rider Mateo Marulanda is aiming to race among the front runners after steadily improving his performance this season. The Colombian rider sits in tenth place in the overall standings with 32 points, after finishing tenth in Aragón, and has scored points in five of the last six races.

Meanwhile, Facundo Llambías will be looking to regain his good form on the asphalt after the last round in Aragón, where he failed to score any points. The Uruguayan, currently tenth overall with 32 points, is aiming to repeat his performance at Magny-Cours, where he finished second.

“We’re approaching the final stretch of the championship with great enthusiasm and excitement. Italy will play a key role in our JuniorGP™ title aspirations, although there are still two more rounds to go. The team’s five riders have worked very hard this summer to arrive in the best possible physical and mental shape for this event, and we’re sure they’ll bring us a lot of joy,” explains Jaime Serrano , team CEO.

Commitment and motivation are essential factors for achieving our goals, as Max Moro , Team Leader Project, explains: “Salmela and O’Gorman have prepared to perform at their highest level this weekend. Also, Boggio, who has recovered from injuries, has enormous talent. We’re very happy with Marulanda’s performance in the ETC, where he’s working brilliantly in a very difficult category. A similar case to that in Moto2™, where, thanks to the work of the team and that of Llambías, we’re confident we’ll be in the front positions.”

The action at the Emilia-Romagna circuit will kick off on Thursday with free practice, which will continue on Friday. Qualifying will take place on Saturday, starting at 1:55 p.m. CEST.

The ETC Last Chance at 9:15 a.m. will kick off Sunday, which will feature the first JuniorGP™ race at 11:00 a.m. (16 laps), followed by the first ETC race at 12:00 p.m. (15 laps). These will be followed by the Moto2™ race at 1:00 p.m. (17 laps), the second JuniorGP™ race at 2:00 p.m. (16 laps) and the ETC at 3:00 p.m. (15 laps).

All races can be followed live on the DAZN platform and its Movistar+ channel, as well as on the official FIM JuniorGP™ YouTube channel.
