Monlau Motul Technical School signs up for a 2025 of international impact on the tracks and in the classrooms

With a prominent presence in major world motorsport championships and a record number of students trained in its classrooms, Monlau Motul Technical School concludes 2025 with a year of growth and consolidation in both the sporting and academic spheres. Its teams shone in competitions such as TCR Europe, TCR Spain, CEK, FIM JuniorGP™, and Spanish F4, achieving titles and podium finishes. Simultaneously, the school surpassed its enrollment figures in its Competition Mechanics and Master’s in Motorsport Engineering programs, reaffirming its position as an international leader in training for top-level competition.

We’ve consolidated the growth of recent years in terms of results, structure, and student enrollment, but above all, in international impact ,” says  Jaime Serrano , CEO of Monlau Motul Technical School.  “Our 360-degree model, which integrates drivers, engineers, and mechanics into a single, real-world racing ecosystem, continues to yield excellent results. We apply a Balanced Scorecard (BSC) to all departments to measure and analyze weekly performance, providing a snapshot of their operations. As a strategic management tool, it allows us to monitor and track the performance indicators of the objectives set within Monlau Motorsport’s strategy. The titles we’ve won and the success of our students, many of whom are already working for professional teams, reinforce our identity: developing motorsport talent from the ground up and to the highest standards.”

Growth and resilience marked the FIM JuniorGP™ season.
Team Estrella Galicia 0,0 completed a year of learning and evolution across all three categories in which it competed. In JuniorGP™, Rico Salmela and Casey O’Gorman were consistently at the top of the standings throughout the season, achieving nine podium finishes between them (six for Salmela and three for O’Gorman) and finishing fifth and sixth in the overall standings, respectively. Dodo Boggio also delivered strong performances for the team, finishing 16th in the standings.

Colombian rider Mateo Marulanda showcased his potential in a season of clear progression in the European Talent Cup, finishing 15th overall with several commendable performances. Alongside Marulanda, Frenchman Nolann Macary also competed for the team. Meanwhile, Facundo Llambías made his debut in a new category, Moto2™. The Uruguayan rider overcame obstacles and finished 12th overall, securing a podium finish with second place at Magny-Cours, France.

A historic hat trick in TCR Europe:
Monlau Motul Technical School capped off an outstanding season in TCR Europe by winning three titles: drivers, Youth, and manufacturers. Jenson Brickley was crowned champion after an epic finish at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, in a championship marked by extreme parity. Meanwhile, Èric Gené finished his debut year in the continental series as Youth Trophy champion and fourth overall. Both drivers remained in contention for the title until the final race at the wheel of the CUPRA León VZ TCR, which also allowed the Barcelona-based team to secure the team crown and consolidate its position as one of the championship’s leading contenders. 

Third consecutive title in TCR Spain
. In TCR Spain, Monlau Motul was once again one of the main protagonists, securing the constructors’ title for the third consecutive year after a season marked by the impeccable performance of the drivers, mechanics, engineers, and the CUPRA León VZ TCRs. Èric Gené was crowned Junior Trophy champion and overall runner-up after achieving two victories, two  pole positions  , and three podium finishes, while Jenson Brickley finished third overall and second among the Juniors, with a total of four podiums.

A Winter of Preparation in the Spanish Winter Championship.
The winter series served as a demanding tune-up for the regular season of the Spanish F4, with a calendar comprised of three races at top-level circuits. In these events, Monlau Motul fielded three single-seaters, driven by Alexander Jacoby, Lorenzo Campos, and Francisco Monarca, and focused its efforts on the team’s technical and sporting development. The best result was a 12th place finish for Jacoby in Jerez.

Steady Progress in the Spanish FIA F4.
In what was its fourth season participating in the Spanish FIA Formula 4, Monlau Motul finished ninth in the championship with seven points, with drivers Francisco Monarca, Alexander Jacoby, Lorenzo Campos, Santiago Baztarrica, Andre Rodriguez, and Miki Blascos. The latter two experienced the team’s crucial transition from karting to single-seaters.

A season of podium finishes at the CEK:
The Monlau Motul Karting Team was once again in contention for the titles in the main categories of the Spanish Karting Championship, achieving a total of 10 race victories and 17 other podium finishes. At the end of a hard-fought season, Thiago Huertas’ Mini Rookie title and the runner-up finishes of Sasha Miras in the same category and Sete Veà in KZ shone brightly.

Competition Mechanics:
In the 2023/25 graduating class, a total of 104 motorsport and motorcycle racing technicians, from seven different nationalities, completed their studies at the Monlau Motul School of Mechanics. This group joins the nearly 3,500 students who have passed through its classrooms in almost three decades of history.

The training combines theoretical concepts learned in the classroom workshops with practical experience at real-world events, such as the “Track Days” organized for students to experience real-world situations with the vehicles they have prepared in the classroom, as well as the Monlau Motul Endurance Race, a four-hour endurance race that tests the students’ knowledge of motorcycling in this final project. In motorsports, the graduating class experienced one of its most active seasons in terms of national and international practical experience.

Master’s Degree in Motorsport Engineering:
In its 16th cohort, the Master’s Degree in Motorsport Engineering at Monlau Motul Technical School broke its enrollment record and stood out for the high level demonstrated by the students, whom the teaching staff described as one of the most outstanding cohorts in terms of attitude and talent in the program’s history. With 350 hours of instruction delivered by active industry professionals, the students combined theoretical training with real-world track experience and a final project simulating the organization of a competitive event.

In parallel, the school also enhanced its online master’s program with three available options: the Advanced Motorsport Engineering MSc, specializing in cars and motorcycles, consisting of 24 modules and real-world track experience; the MSc Race Cars, focused on motorsports; and the MSc Race Motorbikes, centered on motorcycling. Each of these last two formats consisted of 11 modules.

True to its commitment to supporting young talent at every stage of their sporting careers, Monlau Motul has Monlau Management, its division specializing in rider representation, consulting, and comprehensive development. With over 20 years of experience and a 360-degree global vision, Monlau Management works in areas such as sports planning, personal development, financial management, and brand building. Names like José Antonio Rueda (Moto3™), Ángel Piqueras (Moto3™), Casey O’Gorman (JuniorGP™), and Facundo Llambías (Moto2™) have been some of the project’s most prominent representatives in 2025. This year, Rueda was crowned Moto3™ World Champion and Piqueras achieved the runner-up position, both with the unwavering support of Estrella Galicia 0,0. These results reinforce the strength of the project, in a season in which the three current world champions of MotoGP™, Moto2™ and Moto3™ have passed through the Barcelona-based structure. 

In this way, Monlau Motul Technical School reaffirms its role as a leading driver of talent in international motorsport, with achievements that validate its training and competitive model. Without wasting any time, the school is already working with the same ambition and rigor to continue growing and surpass itself again in 2026 with the methodology, passion, and enthusiasm that characterize its entire team of professionals.
