- Miki Blascos achieves a seventh position –fifth among the rookies– in the first race at the Madrid Jarama-RACE Circuit, and finishes tenth (seventh rookie ) in the third, adding a total of seven points.

Monlau Motul Technical School capped off a solid weekend at the Circuito de Madrid Jarama-RACE, the venue for the fourth round of the Spanish F4 Championship. After a two-month break since the previous event, the team returned to competition with positive momentum and confirmed their progress on a packed grid of 36 drivers. Miki Blascos was the standout performer for the Barcelona-based team, finishing seventh (fifth rookie ) in the first race and tenth (seventh rookie ) in the third, earning a total of seven points. Fausto Arnaudo also managed to score points.
The Madrid circuit, with its 3.85 kilometers and 13 corners, once again tested a grid characterized by its close competition and minimal differences between the drivers. Its narrow and technical layout, with constant elevation changes, demanded meticulous attention to detail to find the right rhythm. In addition to Blascos and Arnaudo, Monlau Motul fielded Rahim Alibhai and Juste Mulder, who was making his debut at the Jarama Circuit.
The action kicked off Saturday morning with free practice, followed by the first qualifying session. Blascos finished ninth with a time of 1:33.433 – just 0.504 seconds off the pace – right ahead of Arnaudo in tenth (1:33.469). Alibhai was 16th (1:33.663) and Mulder 20th (1:33.798).
In the first race, Blascos got off to a good start and gained a position shortly after the beginning. The race was affected by constant interruptions, with four safety car periods , but the Mallorcan driver remained in contention for the leading positions and crossed the finish line in eighth. A penalty for a rival later allowed him to move up to seventh place, fifth among the rookies , and earn six points. Arnaudo also put in a good performance and finished ninth, which gave him two points. Alibhai was 17th and Mulder 19th.
Sunday’s session began with the second qualifying round, in which Blascos once again demonstrated his competitiveness over a single lap, finishing 11th (1:32.770), less than half a second off pole position . Mulder was 15th, while Arnaudo and Alibhai occupied 26th and 27th places, respectively.
The second race was again marked by interruptions. Mulder made a good start and moved up from 18th to 15th, while Arnaudo remained in contention for a top-10 finish. After a red flag and another safety car period, Blascos overtook his teammate Mulder and another competitor to move into 14th. A penalty for another driver then moved him up one place to 13th. Arnaudo finished ninth – fifth among the rookies – while Alibhai finished 21st. Mulder, who had crossed the finish line in 14th, received a five-second penalty that dropped him to 22nd.
The final race of the weekend was once again marred by incidents. Blascos started 11th and delivered a consistent performance to finish 10th after benefiting from another penalty given to a rival. He finished seventh among the rookies and earned another point. Behind him, Alibhai finished 20th. Arnaudo, who had gained positions after the start and a restart following a safety car period , reached 16th before being forced to retire on the final lap. Mulder, meanwhile, failed to complete the start: a problem with first gear left him stuck on the grid, and a rival collided with his Tatuus from behind. After the Madrid round, Miki Blascos sits 14th in the drivers’ championship standings.
David Simón , team manager of Monlau Motul Technical School, assessed the team’s performance after the break: “We are very satisfied with how the team returned to competition. After several weeks without activity, we demonstrated solidity in terms of mechanics, engineering, and driving. Having two cars in the top 10 in the first race and finishing the third heat with Miki in the points is the most positive aspect of the weekend. Qualifying again demonstrated the enormous parity in this category, but we have the ability to place all four of our cars in the top 15 and fight for points.”

Miki and Fausto’s results are a well-deserved reward for the hard work of the entire team and, at the same time, encourage us to continue working to translate this progress into increasingly consistent results.”
Monlau Motul Technical School is already focusing its attention on the next round of the competition, which will take place from September 25 to 27 at the Jerez-Ángel Nieto Circuit.
