Brno up next for Team Estrella Galicia 0,0’s Moto3 on the revised calendar

Team Estrella Galicia 0,0 Moto3 have travelled to Brno for the second European round of the MotoGP World Championship’s revised calendar: The Czech Grand Prix.
Both Sergio Garcia Dols and Ryusei Yamanaka will try to carry over the form that gave them Top 10 finishes last time out at Jerez, when they take on this weekend’s Moto3 contest.
The first Free Practice sessions for the Czech GP will take place on Friday at 9:00am, with the race itself getting underway on Sunday at 11:00am local time.
Sergio Garcia Dols
Sergio Garcia Dols managed to overcome some initial setbacks at Jerez a fortnight ago, to qualify directly for Q2 and ride in the leading group in the race. He would take the chequered flag in 8th place.
The Spaniard moves on to Brno with prior experience of the track, having ridden their last year. He was in the fastest group on raceday, with only a mistake and a subsequent crash denying him a points finish.
“I am very happy to be riding at Brno this weekend, as it gets us back to the routine of racing that we have missed so much. Overcoming the difficulties we had at Jerez gave us great motivation. Now I just want to continue progressing. Last year at Brno we had a great race that was only overshadowed by a crash on the final laps, so I hope to apply what I learned then, and also in these past few weeks, to give my best performance and achieve a strong result.”
Ryusei Yamanaka
Ryusei Yamanaka achieved his first points of the 2020 season at the Andalusian GP, taking an 8th place finish that matched his best result to date in the Moto3 World Championship.
Despite this being his first year as a full-time rider, the Japanese rider does have valuable experience of Brno thanks to his third place at the Czech round of the MotoGP Rookies Cup in 2017.
“Despite this being my first year in the World Championship, with the difficulties involved in learning new circuits, I am lucky because I already know the layout of Brno from my time as a MotoGP Red Rookies Cup rider. I got onto the podium back then, and I hope that experience will help me to continue progressing now. It is time to keep improving consistently and get back to the pace of the competition again. I hope the weekend is favourable for us, and that on Sunday we can show our full potential in the race.”
