Estrella Galicia 0,0 and Monlau Repsol to focus efforts on developing talent in 2021 FIM CEV

It is almost nine years since the collaboration between Estrella Galicia 0,0 and Monlau Repsol was announced, presenting a pioneering and innovative project whose objective was to support young talent from grassroots competition through to international elite level.
The result of this work has been more than palpable since then, with the promotion of young riders from Talent Team Estrella Galicia 0,0 and Junior Team Estrella Galicia 0,0 in the FIM CEV Repsol to the ranks of Estrella Galicia 0,0 in the Moto3 World Championship.
In the 2021 season, Estrella Galicia 0,0 and Monlau Repsol will be present in the FIM CEV Repsol with the Talent Team Estrella Galicia 0,0, as well as Junior Team Estrella Galicia 0,0 on the grid in the European Talent Cup and the Moto3 Junior World Championship. Their rider lineups will be announced shortly.
Estrella Galicia 0,0 and Monlau Repsol also announce the conclusion of their 9-year project in the Moto3 World Championship. Since its formation, Estrella Galicia 0,0 has achieved the Moto3 world title with Alex Marquez, the runner-up award with Alex Rins, and helped riders such as Miguel Oliveira, Fabio Quartararo, Jorge Navarro, Enea Bastianini, Aron Canet, Alonso Lopez and Sergio Garcia Dols to podium finishes. All of them have contributed to the team’s 18 Grand Prix victories, 67 podiums and 23 pole positions.

Jose Cabanas (CMO, Estrella Galicia 0,0)
“We joined up with Monlau back in 2011 to build something unique and new for us, participating in the Motorcycle World Championship.
Our arrival was in pursuit of a clear objective: To showcase our brand and our values as well as create champions, following a working philosophy focused on effort, innovation and excellence.
Ten years later, we can proudly look back on how we have contributed to this cause, with a large number of riders that make up the MotoGP grid today having come through the Estrella Galicia 0,0 project.
Strategies and projects evolve, and despite the current uncertainty in the world, our spirit and commitment to sport is firm. We are very happy to be able to continue working with a partner like Monlau in 2021, to continue developing this talent and giving opportunities to our riders, so that they can enter the World Championship in the best possible circumstances.”

Jaime Serrano (Managing Director, Monlau Motorsport)
“Almost a decade ago, together with our partner Estrella Galicia 0,0, a pioneering platform was created to train riders from the ground up and prepare them properly for the World Championship. Throughout all these years we have accompanied dozens of talented riders and given them the valuable opportunity to compete under professional tutelage in the different championships.
This has contributed to their training, and with most of them we have achieved many World Championship podiums, even winning the Moto3 world title. Currently, a large number of these riders compete in MotoGP. Our common leitmotiv is to continue committing to and fostering talent, although now this will be with a new and reconsidered joint strategy in terms of championship level. We will therefore continue in the FIM CEV Repsol in 2021.
This means that we will focus even more all our technical and human resources to continuing giving opportunities to new riders, through Talent Team Estrella Galicia 0,0 in the European Talent Cup and Junior Team Estrella Galicia 0,0 in the Moto3 Junior World Championship, as a springboard to the World Championship. The continuation of Estrella Galicia 0,0 in the common project with Monlau-Repsol demonstrates once again the consistency of our pioneering partnership, especially considering the current global circumstances caused by the pandemic.”
