Passion for effort, innovation and work mark the way of being of the brewery and the reference school in motorsport. Estrella Galicia and Monlau Motul remain dedicated to the youth academy to train riders who dream, tomorrow, of reaching the motorcycle world championship. Born in 2012, Team Estrella Galicia 0,0 had a successful run through the world championship before taking a decisive strategic step in 2021 by abandoning the main scene and focusing exclusively on the step prior to Moto3™. The two most imminent examples of the success of this bet are  José Antonio Rueda  and  Ángel Piqueras, the first already established in the first step of the World Championship after winning the FIM JuniorGP™ in 2022, and Piqueras, who succeeded him in the list of winners, will make the leap in 2024 to Moto3™.

The new sporting project of Team Estrella Galicia 0.0 will once again combine ambition, youth and talent in an outstanding team of drivers. The team that will compete in the JuniorGP™ will have, for one more season,  Facundo Llambías  and  Casey O’Gorman , who will be joined by two debutants in the category:  Máximo Quiles  (current ETC champion) and  Guillem Planques . The lineup for the European Talent Cup will be made up, for its part, of  Jesús Torres, Pau Alsina, Fernando Bujosa, Enzo Bellon  and  Marianos Nikolis

These nine young motorcycling talents will be supported by a human group of 41 members. Led by  Jaime Serrano , CEO of Team Estrella Galicia 0’0, and under the direction of the Team Leader Project,  Max Moro , the training will have, among others, two  rider performance analysts  in the sports part, five Crew Chiefs and as many  data engineer, in addition to nine professional mechanics. The line-up is completed by trainee personnel from the Monlau Motul Technical School mechanics courses: nine of them with the function of second mechanics and another four as logistics support.

More than a decade of success
Team Estrella Galicia 0.0 was born in 2012 with  Álex Rins  and  Miguel Oliveira  in the Moto3™ World Championship. The first successes bore the stamp of  Álex Márquez  and  Fabio Quartararo , CEV Moto3 champions in 2012 and 2014, respectively. In 2014, the team would achieve its first World Cup title in Moto3™ thanks, again, to Álex Márquez, a milestone that this year marks a decade.

The successes at the base would continue to be a constant in the last decade, as demonstrated by the Pre-Moto3 scepter of  Alonso López  in 2015 and of  Sergio García Dols  in 2016; that of the 2019 FIM CEV Moto3 of  Jeremy Alcoba , currently in Moto2™; or the aforementioned  José Antonio Rueda  and  Ángel Piqueras , the only drivers in history to win – in 2022 and 2023, respectively – in JuniorGP™ and the Red Bull Rookies Cup the same year.

Jaime Serrano , CEO of Monlau Motul, valued the renewal of the agreement for two more seasons of Team Estrella Galicia 0.0: “ For more than a decade we have been working side by side with Estrella Galicia, a partner that allows us to continue promoting motorcycling talents. of tomorrow. Throughout all these seasons we have had the opportunity to work with dozens of drivers, many of whom compete today in the premier category. But the work does not stop, and we will continue to use all our human and technical means to move forward in our mission. The nine members of 2024 and the 41 members of the staff began the mission of continuing to promote talent .”

“ Our presence in the world of motorcycling would not be understood without the commitment to young talents. That is why we are delighted to extend our relationship with Monlau Motul, a partner with whom we have been creating champions for more than a decade, through a differential program where training in shared values such as effort, perseverance and work in team are fundamental for their development on and off the court ,” says  José Villanueva , Sports Partnership Manager of Estrella Galicia.

The 2024 season of the FIM JuniorGP™ and the European Talent Cup will start next April at the Italian Misano circuit, and will tour Portugal and Spain in six other events before concluding, on November 24, at the Ricardo Tormo circuit in Cheste .
