The Monlau Motul Karting Team faced a demanding edition of the IAME Warriors Final 2026 (IWF26) from October 19th to 24th, held at the Leopard Circuit Viterbo in Italy. The Barcelona-based team competed in five categories with nine drivers and once again demonstrated its competitiveness against an international grid of over 350 participants from nearly 50 countries. Seven of its drivers reached the finals in their respective categories.

The Italian event, one of the leading international competitions on the IAME karting calendar, lasted six days. The program included timed sessions, qualifying heats, Super Heats, and finals on a demanding track where the team remained competitive, although they were unable to translate their performance into a podium finish.

In the Mini class, Marc Cruz was one of the standout performers from qualifying, where he secured the third fastest overall time and pole position in his group on a wet track. He later finished 17th in the Super Heats and 21st in the final, in a class that boasted a strong international contingent.

The Junior category held a significant portion of the team’s chances. Nuvola Morales stood out from the qualifying heats, securing four victories, and maintained his momentum throughout the subsequent rounds. After a solid performance, he finished fourth in the Super Heats, a result that put him in a strong position heading into the final.

However, an electrical problem prevented his kart from starting in time for the decisive race, and he was unable to fight for a result in line with the performance shown during the weekend.

His teammates also faced a demanding program. Jay Kostecki finished 42nd in the qualifying heats, 33rd in the Super Heats, and 26th in the final. Iván González , for his part, was 19th in the qualifying heats, 15th in the Super Heats, and 27th in the final race. Mico Lionn Schweers completed his participation with a 51st position in the Super Heats.

In the Senior category, Emilia Kari represented the Monlau Motul Karting Team and qualified for the final. She finished 24th in the qualifying heats and 28th in the Super Heats, before finishing 29th in the final. Alex Martínez , the other team member in this category, finished 40th in the qualifying heats and 45th in the Super Heats.

Cristian Fuente , in the S125 Senior category, after finishing fourth in the qualifying heats, was tenth in the Super Heats and finished the final in 11th position. In the Master category, Tik Sum Ng finished his participation with 27th place in both the qualifying heats and the Super Heats, before finishing 26th in the decisive race.

Rubén Simón , team manager of the Monlau Motul Karting Team, assessed the team’s performance in Italy as follows: “We leave satisfied with having been competitive in all categories and having taken several drivers to the finals. Nuvola had a chance to fight for a good result after a great effort, but the electrical problem cost us that opportunity. This time we couldn’t finish the job with a podium, but the team’s performance was very positive.”

For his part, Jaime Serrano , CEO of Monlau Motul Technical School, emphasized the value of competing in an event of this nature: “The IAME Warriors Final brings together top-level international riders and is a demanding test for the entire team. Once again, we demonstrated our ability to be among the best, with numerous races and high participation.”

The next event for the Monlau Motul Karting Team will be the final round of the Valencian Community Karting Championship (CKCV), scheduled for October 31st and November 1st, 2026 at the Correcaminos Karting Circuit in Recas, Toledo.
