Team Estrella Galicia 0.0 visits Jerez with the aim of expanding the lead in JuniorGP and assaulting the ETC

    • In one of the paddock’s favourite tracks, Ángel Piqueras will defend the first position in JuniorGP.

    • In their respective categories, Elia Bartolini and Rico Salmela will seek to be in the top positions and Facundo Llambías, Alex Gourdon, Amanuel Brinton and Hakim Danish have worked to take a step forward this weekend.

    • As in Valencia, the Jerez-Ángel Nieto Circuit will host two events of the European Talent Cup and two of JuniorGP.

    • “Coming to Jerez with a solid lead in one category and with options to reach it in the other is very encouraging. Undoubtedly, we are in a great moment, thanks also to the support provided by Estrella Galicia 0.0, Motul and the rest of the sponsors,” says Jaime Serrano, CEO of the team.

After the first two stops, made in Estoril and Valencia, Team Estrella Galicia 0.0 travels to the south of Spain for its third commitment of the FIM JuniorGP. The Jerez-Ángel Nieto Circuit will host on June 3 and 4 two JuniorGP and two European Talent Cup (ETC) races that can open the first important differences in the general classification.

The double victory in Valencia led Ángel Piqueras to the lead of the JuniorGP category, which dominates with 70 points, a race away from his top pursuer, Jacob Roulstone (44 points). Only Nico Carraro has been able to beat him by two thousandths in Estoril, in a round start for the Valencian rider who hopes to endorse in Jerez, where he already took the podium last year.

For his part, Elia Bartolini will seek to be ahead after the good feelings shown in Valencia, despite the unfortunate fall, while Facundo Llambías and Alex Gourdon continue to work on their piloting to be increasingly competitive.

If anything, so far, in the European Talent Cup is uncertainty, equality and emotion. A category with constant alternations and where Brian Uriarte has confirmed his status as a strong contender for the title. Second placed with 78 points, just five from the first, Uriarte will seek to step again on the first step of the podium and, thus, beat the leader Máximo Quiles.

Behind Uriarte in the general standings is his teammate Rico Salmela, who has started the season on a good foot and is looking to climb to his third podium of the year. Amanuel Brinton, who scored the first points in Valencia, aims to continue his evolution in a circuit that brings good memories, after the sixth position achieved in 2022. For his part, Hakim Danish will try to recover the feelings of Estoril, where he took the podium as third place.

“The whole team is very eager to continue in the good line of work of Estoril and Valencia. Reaching Jerez with a solid lead in one category and with options to reach it in the other is very encouraging. Undoubtedly, we are in a great moment, thanks also to the support provided by Estrella Galicia 0.0, Motul and the rest of the sponsors,” says Jaime Serrano, CEO of the team.

“We at JuniorGP hope that Ángel Piqueras will continue in the same line and can maintain the lead and that the rest of the team will gain confidence and can take a step forward,” said Kev Coghlan, Team Manager. Regarding the ETC, “Brian Uriarte is in full fight for the title and we have to keep pushing to not lose options, also with Rico Salmela, which is not far from Uriarte. With Amanuel Brinton and Hakim Danish we will try to reflect on the asphalt all the work they do every day to improve”.

With a good weather forecast, which includes temperatures close to 30ºC, the third round of the championship will begin with free training on Thursday and Friday, prior to the qualifying session on Saturday (from 9:00h CEST).

With the starting positions decided, Sunday will start with the Last Chance of the ETC at 9:15h CEST. After that, the first turn will be for JuniorGP‍ from 11:00 CEST, with 15 laps ahead. At 12:00h CEST will be held the first race of the ETC to 14 laps, while at 14:00h CEST JuniorGP drivers will return to be the protagonists in a second race to 15 laps. Finally, ETC riders will also ride the bikes for the second time, starting at 15:00h CEST, to complete 14 laps to the circuit.

The entire FIM JuniorGP show in the Andalusian circuit can be followed live through the DAZN platform , as well as on its Movistar+ channel, while Teledeporteofrecrá a broad summary on Sunday afternoon.
