- Travis Borg scores points in both Moto3™ races and is now fourth in the overall standings, tied on points with third place.
- Kerman Tinez finishes eighth in the second heat, while Marianos Nikolis scores points again in both races.
- Facundo Llambías staged a great comeback in Moto2™ to finish sixth after starting from 17th position.

Team Monlau Motul was once again among the best at the fifth round of the 2026 FIM MotoJunior™ World Championship, held at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia. The team scored points with all its riders in the Moto3™ Junior World Championship and delivered a strong performance in the Moto2™ European Championship. Travis Borg remains in contention for the championship and now sits fourth in the overall standings, tied on points with the third-placed rider and 43 points behind the leader.
The weekend’s action started with a positive feeling for the Barcelona-based team in Moto3™. Borg set the fastest time in the first free practice session and was second in the following one. In qualifying, the rider from Naxxar (Malta) posted the fourth fastest time (1:38.817) before suffering a crash that prevented him from improving his time. Kerman Tinez qualified tenth, and Marianos Nikolis , after progressing through Q1, secured 16th place.
In the first race, Borg stayed with the leading group throughout, battling for the top positions to finish seventh. Nikolis also put in a solid performance, leading the chasing pack for much of the race before ultimately taking the checkered flag in 12th place. Meanwhile, Tinez was unable to start due to a technical issue on the formation lap.
The second race was once again marked by close competition at the front. Borg made a great start from fourth position and briefly moved up to second before getting caught up in the battles again. The Maltese rider remained among the leaders for much of the race, although tire wear affected his performance in the closing laps, and he finished ninth. Tinez drove a very consistent race and, after starting tenth, climbed to eighth place. Nikolis, meanwhile, scored points again, finishing 14th.
In the Moto2™ European Championship, Facundo Llambías was one of the stars of Sunday’s race. After a crash at the start of Q2 that forced him to start 17th, the Uruguayan rider made a flawless start and was already in seventh place by the first lap. Llambías maintained a solid pace throughout the race and, when a red flag brought the race to a halt with 12 laps remaining, he was in seventh position. After the restart, shortened to six laps, he gained another place to finish sixth and complete an excellent comeback.
In the Moto4™ European Cup, Nolann Macary made it through Q1 and into Q2, where he qualified 12th in his group. However, an electrical issue during the formation lap prevented him from starting the first race. In the second race, he started 23rd and finished in the same position, completing another learning experience in a highly demanding category. Meanwhile, Leonardo Fabio Cabrera failed to qualify for the races after going through the Last Chance qualifiers, although he continued working on adapting to the category.

Kerman reacted very well after not being able to compete in the first race, and Marianos scored points in both races. I also want to highlight Facundo’s performance, as starting 17th after his crash in qualifying and finishing sixth demonstrates the rider’s high level. In Moto4™, Nolann continues to accumulate mileage and experience, and we continue working with Leonardo to help him adapt,” explained Eduardo Villodre , team manager of Team Monlau Motul.

The sixth and penultimate round of the 2026 FIM MotoJunior™ World Championship will take place from September 25th to 27th at MotorLand Aragón. Team Monlau Motul will approach the next round aiming to continue accumulating points and maintain their chances in the fight for the Moto3™ championship, as well as furthering the development of all their riders.
