Difficult race for Garcia Dols and Yamanaka in Aragon

Estrella Galicia 0,0 Moto3 riders Sergio Garcia Dols and Ryusei Yamanaka participated in the 19-lap Aragon Grand Prix on Sunday at MotorLand.
Garcia Dols finished 19th, with Yamanaka 24th. The race was won by Spanish rider Jaume Masia.    
The warm up was held at 10am, rescheduled due to low morning temperatures, and the race itself got underway at 12pm under clear skies and temperatures of 17 ºC (ambient) and 20 ºC (track).
The Moto3 World Championship will be back at MotorLand next weekend, with the Teruel Grand Prix getting underway on Friday, October 23rd.

Sergio García Dols ( 19th, +21.284)
Garcia Dols started from 14th on the grid, thanks to a qualifying time of 1:59.221. Amidst the cold morning temperatures during the warmup he set the 20th best time, with a 2:00.421.
He gained places off the start to move into the Top 10, but would later lose ground and drop into the second group.        
Unable to catch the riders ahead of him after complete a long lap penalty, the Spaniard finally crossed the finish line in 19th place. He is now 15th in the overall standings with 37 points.
“Off the start I was able to follow the leading group, but little by little I lost pace. I tried to keep contact with the group, but I was overtaken by several riders and I couldn’t make up ground. I’m not satisfied with the race I had today. I hope that next weeke
Ryusei Yamanaha (24th, +36,570)
Yamanaka was determined to overcome the discomfort he was feeling in his left hand, and he took the 25th fastest time in the warmup, setting a 2:00.654. He started 30th on the grid through his Q1 time of 2:01.560.
After making a great start he moved up into 24th, and on the following laps he remained in a group of four riders.
The Japanese rider finally crossed the finish line in 24th -the same position that he occupies in the overall standings with 13 points.
“It was a very difficult weekend overall, starting with the big crash I had on Friday morning. From then on everything was affected, and it was very difficult for me to improve between sessions. Nevertheless, I made a good start in the race and gained several positions. It was tough, because I didn’t have the best feeling. I gave it all that I had, but my pace wasn’t fast enough.”
